Speakeasy Facilitator's Page

This page is for Speakeasy Facilitators.  It contains information to support the delivery of Speakeasy courses and updated and relevant information about Speakeasy in Kent.
Speakeasy is no longer going to be funded centrally in Kent, which means that there will be no more funded Speakeasy Facilitator training provided, and accreditation for parents and resources will incur a cost.  However, anyone already trained in Speakeasy, has the skills to continue doing so, and those skills will continue to be shared with other staff through co-facilitation and presentations at local meetings and forums.

The Speakeasy Facilitator's Handbook.can be used when delivering courses and for course worksheets and handouts.

Recommended books and resources are listed with a brief description of how they can support the course.  There are plenty of copies of the books in Kent Libraries who will be happy to assist you in locating them.

Relevant News Articles can be used during Session 4 - Media and Culture.

One of the Speakeasy Facilitators prepared a Powerpoint presentation for use during her course.  She has generously offered it to any Speakeasy Facilitator who would like to use it.  Be aware that some of the slides are headings or prompts for discussions. Speakeasy Facilitators Powerpoint
