Terms of Reference

• To act as the consultative group to the Capital Strategy Unit of the LA to have an overview of the LA’s capital programme including specifically the rollout of the Primary Capital Programme from April 09 and to ensure best value.
• To advise on priorities and criteria for programmes of school building maintenance and improvement work to best support improving standards of teaching and learning and to ensure best value. 
• To consider proposed programmes of work for each year and, where necessary, propose amendments and to ensure best value. 
• To monitor progress of programmes of building maintenance and improvements targets.
• To consider and advise on support to schools on premises management, premises development planning and project management.
• To act as consultative group for advising on arrangements for the gathering of information required for the Asset Management Plan (AMP) purposes and the appropriate dissemination of information to schools.
• To monitor progress and development on the rollout and use of the Interprise Property Management database.
• To consider arrangements for updating AMP information and where necessary propose amendments.
• To assist in the evaluation of the AMP against its objectives.
• To consider issues raised by any of the parties to the AMP.
