Preparation and what to bring

The training is most effective if you bring some real examples of updates to do.  In particular it would be helpful if you bring on a USB/flash pen:

  1. A document (Word/excel/PDF) that you would like on your page
  2. Some changes you would like to make to the text
  3. An image that you would like to add.

Think of some websites that you would like to create links to.

It is a good idea to plan some time shortly after the training to practice what you have learnt.

It will be useful if you have grasped some of the terms used when editing web pages:

URL web address
hyperlink A blue link within a Kent trust web page that opens another webpage, a document or a blank email when clicked.
Document A PDF/Word/excel/PowerPoint etc file that can be added to your web page.
Pixel A very small dot of colour that forms part of an image - Kent Trust Web is about 800 pixels wide!
