Terms of Reference

The Early Years Sub Group (EYSG) will:

• Provide a representative from the PVI sector to sit on the Schools Funding Forum
• Advise on proposed developments and changes to the Early Years funding mechanism
• Provide a focus for all Early Years providers within the county ensuring that the views of all types of providers are represented
• Provide a steer for any work undertaken on behalf of the Schools Funding Forum
•  Raise and discuss relevant issues on Early Years funding with matters that relate to the use of central resources to be represented by the Chairperson at the Funding Forum
• Act as a consultative group on specific issues as they affect Early Years funding
• Provide general advice on strategic and operational issues affecting Early Year’s budgets
• Act as a consultative group on issues that affect the local authority’s sufficiency duty.
