Welcome to the Local Children Services Manager (LCSM) Web Page for the Dover Local Children’s Services partnership.

My name is Lee-Anne Farach and I am the LCSM for the Dover Local Children’s Services Partnership. This will bring together social care, health, police, education, Dover District Council, the voluntary agencies and other services to ensure integrated, child-centred approaches to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. It is one of 23 Local Children’s Services Partnerships (LCSP) in place in specific localities in Kent from 1st September 2008. The Dover LCSP will support the Kent Children’s Trust to deliver the Every Child Matters outcomes.

Within the LCSP are 27 schools (1 infant school, 1 Junior school, 19 Primary schools, 3 High schools, 2 Grammar schools and 1 special school) and 30 pre school settings. Working in partnership with schools and other agencies the aim is to ensure that children and young people receive the highest possible quality of education, meeting the standards set through agreed Cluster targets.

I lead and manage a partnership team to provide the best possible support to the children and families of the area.

One of my main aims when I was appointed a Local Education Officer for Dover in August 2004 has been to promote collaborative working and develop multi-agency working. I work with people from a variety of backgrounds; colleagues within the Cluster schools, Health, Children Families and Education services, Dover District Council, the police and the voluntary sector. The work of these people is to improve the lives of children and young people. This is a good basis from which to develop the Children’s Trust arrangements from September 2008.
