Community Cohesion

The department for Children, Schools and Families has published two key documents to support schools in developing this work:

  1. Guidance on the Duty to Promote Community Cohesion July 2007
  2. Curriculum Review: Diversity and Citizenship January 2007

The guidance describes community cohesion as working towards a society where there is:

  • a common vision and shared future;
  • a sense of belonging based on a shared view of individual rights and responsibilities and trust in local institutions to act fairly and to be open to scrutiny;
  • Fair access to life opportunities and support to enable people to reach their full potential

Kent Top Temps interpreting and Translation Service will provide a one stop shop for all your linguistic needs. They have built up a large bank of interpreters as well as a number of secondary providers of interpreting services. They will be able to offer face to face interpreting and translation. The ad hoc rates for other agencies will apply in this instance.
