What will a Geography Champion do?

Inspire and support teachers to engage learners with quality geography

What will this involve?

·       Tapping into or creating a local network of primary teachers
·       Helping participants to find foci relevant to their own professional needs and local contexts
·       Supporting the creation of pooled expertise and resources
·       Developing and sustaining enthusiasm for quality geography
·       Reaching those teachers who are least confident in engaging with quality primary geography
·       Using electronic and other media to maintain regular communication with the network and keep track of participants
·       Sharing information about new developments and resources
