Welcome to the website for the Canterbury Coastal Partnership!
This website is designed to keep you up to date with the myriad of focussed activities that result from the Local Children's Services Plans, to ensure that our children and young people have the best opportunities possible. It is also a website that showcases the enormous variety of good practice in Canterbury Coastal as well as being an information source for the dedicated professionals who work in the partnership. See below for the most recent celebrations in the Partnership!
Our Vision
In Kent's successful communities, achievement exceeds aspiration, diversity is valued and every child and family is supported. Children and young people are positive about their future and are at the heart of joined up service planning.
In the Canterbury Coastal Partnership we have a commitment to work for the benefit of all our children and young people (LCSP) by:
- Meeting the priorities of Every Child Matters
- Taking collective responsibility and ownership for pupils, especially the most vulnerable, by sharing expertise and knowledge with all partners and agencies
- Working in partnership to develop the local community
- Raising achievement, working to ensure that all children and young people are successful and achieve their full potential
- Developing a holistic approach to enable all children and young people to reach their full potential
- Ensuring that the voice of the child and parent/carer is valued
- Providing continuing professional development opportunities for all staff who work in and with the Partnership
"Sign up to the Olympic Values" day-
17th September 2008
Canterbury Coastal Partnership Schools took part in the Kent "Sign up to the Olympic values" day to coincide with the close of the paralympics in Beijing. During the morning a partnership schools festival was held at Community College Whitstable. Proud pupils, representing the partnership schools, took part in both sport and fact general knowledge activities. All pupils "signed up" to the values and received certificates and medals from Jean Mosley the LCSP Manager. During the afternoon schools held their own festivals. It was a day to remember for everyone!
