Sub Groups

In July 2008 the Kent Children’s Trust Board considered options to streamline and improve current arrangements for the substructure of the Kent Children’s Trust. In December 2008 this substructure was agreed, for a period of one year, with seven core Kent Children’s Trust sub groups identified:

  • Early Years Childcare and Extended Services - focussing on the 0-7 age range.
  • 8-13 Children and Young People’s Group
  • 14-19 Strategic Forum*
  • IYSS/TYS Group*
  • Specialist Needs Group
  • Children and Young People’s Health Group
  • Housing Group (Joint Policy and Planning Board for Housing)

*Note: The 14-19 Strategic Forum and IYSS/TYS Group work alongside each other but are separate groups.

These groups will have the purpose of:

  • providing strategic direction and guidance to the Kent Children’s Trust (with reference to the particular focus of that sub group), and
  • ensuring integrated commissioning and improved outcomes for children and young people and their families.
