This document describes a Strategy for achieving a vision for parent support in Kent. It focuses on early intervention with positive impacts on family life. It sets out a common vision and key priniciples for all partner agencies and aims to ensure that all involved in supporting families understand the impact of positive parenting on family and community life.
Will follow in due course.
"The Framework for Participation with Children and Young People in Kent" has been agreed by the Kent Children's Trust in order to promote a coherent approach to participation with children and young people across the county. The Framework seeks to promote participation so that it becomes integral to the planning, commissioning and evaluation of children's services. Children and young people, especially those who are seldom heard or "hard to reach", need to have their views listened to.
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) identifies issues requiring future investment and change necessary in order to advance improvements in the health and welfare of children and young people. The latest JSNA was published in December 2008. There is also a summary of the document and recommendations.
