Children’s Social Services: Index of Social Work Tasks and Responsibilities

The Children Act 2004 requires major changes in the way agencies work together. While the legislation does not change the core tasks of Children’s Social Services, this document, which describes the tasks and responsibilities of Children’s Social Services and how these are organised in Kent, has been developed to contribute to improving partnership working by promoting a better understanding of the social work role.
