Specialist Services Database Team

The Specialist Services Database Team, responsible for the development and support of the Impulse application, were incorporated into the Management Information Unit (MIU) Systems Team on 01/01/2009.  The new team is responsible for database management, account management and support to all users of Impulse.  We are:-

  • Graham Webb - MIU Systems Management Team Leader
  • Claire Nicholas - MIU Assistant
  • Lisa Miller - MIU Assistant (1st Line Support)

URGENT: New Support Procedures

Impulse support is moving to Supportworks!  Requests should now be logged using Supportworks Web, accessed via Start > Programs > Supportworks.  The Impulse mailbox will cease to be monitored from 1 December 2009.

Report Requests

Ad hoc report requests are undertaken by the Reporting and Data Analysis team.  Please visit MIU's Data Analysis page for information on how to make a request.


Access to Impulse

In order to set up a new Impulse user account, or to amend existing access permissions, a New User form will need to be fully completed and emailed to the Impulse mailbox by an accountable manager.


User Manuals

User manuals prepared by CACI are now available in the Useful Links section below.  In order to view these documents you will need to register with KentTrustWeb to obtain a username and password.  Please note that all manuals are in PDF format, which means you will require Adobe Acrobat to view them. 


Impulse Training Guides

The MIU Systems Team are happy to prepare training guides/procedure notes for specific Impulse tasks.  Please do not hesitate to contact us for guidance on the functionality of a particular area of the system.
