Specialist Services Database Team

Welcome to the Specialist Services Database Team home page

The Specialist Services Database Team is responsible for the development and support of the Impulse applications including database management, account management and report requests. The team provides training and support to all users of Impulse. The team also when requested provides solutions to other requirements from AEN and other Educational services. The team consists of:-

  • Greg Bunnage - Systems Development Manager
  • Ian Boswell - Database Manager
  • Craig Chapman - Report Analyst
  • Gina Scarre - Business Analyst
  • Claire Nicholas - Systems Administration Clerk 


User Guide Manuals

We are pleased to announce that user guide manuals prepared by Arete for SEN/Impulse together with Arete updates are now available through our web page in the document list section below. In order to be able to view these documents you will need to register with ClusterWeb to obtain a username and password. You can do this by going to ClusterWeb home page and clicking on the link highlighted in yellow "Click here to Register". Please also note that all the manuals are in a PDF format which means you will require Adobe Acrobat to view them.


Report Request Form

We attach a new Report Request Form which can be completed online. If you require a report please complete the form and email to the Impulse Mailbox (Impulse - CFE) ensuring that the subject heading is titled "Report Request" in order for us to identify the requests easily. Your request for a report will be responded to promptly. Please note it is important that all sections of the form are completed in order for us to continue to provide an efficient service to all users Report Request Form


Requesting access to the Impulse database

Following new procedures, we now require the attached form to be fully completed by a manager for any new users to be given access to the Impulse database or for any changes to current user access etc. Once the form has been completed, please could the manager email it to the Impulse Mailbox (Impulse - CFE) Access to Impulse

    Have Your Say Results

    In September 2006 we carried out a survey with our AEN users in three area offices to see how effective our service has been now that the Impulse mailbox has been in use for 15 months, and our web page on ClusterWeb nearly 12 months. We produced a short questionnaire that gave the users an opportunity to grade our service during this period. We have now compiled all the results and produced a chart for you Have Your Say Results
