Free e-safety CD ROM aimed at parents

KnowitallChildNet International have launched an excellent free e-safety CD ROM aimed at parents entitled Know It All for Parents.

’A key aim of the CD-Rom is to encourage parents to have a dialogue with their children about the internet and there is special material produced by and for young people, and a special Activity Centre with quizzes and games that parents and children can play together’

How to order
Schools can order bulk copies of this new resource, commissioned by the DfES, from Childnet International.

To order ring DfES publication on 0845 60222 60 (or text phone 0845 60 555 60) And quote reference 00308-2007CD0-EN Stating how many you require. These will then be dispatched to you free of charge.

Childnet have agreed with PC WORLD that they will make a further 200,000 copies available free to the public through their stores from July onwards.

E-safety Pilot

You may like to handout the cds at a special evening on e-safety for parents. Details of the suggested content of such an evening and e-safety training for students will be rolled out to schools from September.
