Cost

From only £110 per 100 items per financial year you can borrow in multiples of 100 for your school library and exchange them as often as you wish at no extra cost.

If you join later in the financial year you pay a reduced fee. So for 100 items you would pay - £110 starting in April, £80 starting in August, £40 starting in January
.

If you borrow 100 books and exchange them each term this could mean up to 300 items over a year. To buy these items would cost you £3,297 (based on average children's book prices, March 2007).

This is a self selection/return service based at Kings Hill, West Malling.

Children Welcome

Involving children in choosing resources for their school library helps to foster a sense of ownership.

Why not bring your class, or your school council. A risk assessment for our centre at Kings Hill is available on request.

"Thank you so much for inviting us to your lovely library. Most of the books were brilliant, and all te group reads were interesting. We were surprised how many different books there were. We all really enjoyed the trip and hope we can come again. Yours sincerely Class 4, Colliers Green Primary School"

Too busy to visit Kings Hill? Too far away?

Why not send a volunteer to collect your books? A parent helper (provided by your school) or a library volunteer (from the CSV Lending Time Library Project) could use your shopping list of fiction or non-fiction to select and collect from Kings Hill. All you pay is their travel costs - more cost-effective than releasing a teacher from the classroom.
