Our Aims and Objectives
KGA is an independent association of governors with no political affiliation seeking to:
- Broaden participation in school governance and provide a democratic forum for the exchange of ideas whislt encouraging co-operation between Governing Bodies, Schools and Districts
- Act collectively to promote and protect the integrity of education in the county
- Provide a formal channel of communication with the LA and a mechanism for consultation and negotiation on educational matters, and, to further good relationships with the LA and other relevant bodies
- Maintain links with Kent Governor Services
- Further governors’ interests regionally and nationally through membership of the National Governors Association (NGA)
- Provide a coherent voice for Kent Governors in making representations to central government on matters of common concern
