Kent e-Safety Policy Template and Guidance

The Kent Schools and Settings e-Safety Policy Template has been updated for 2012 to reflect the changes in technology and practise within schools. The updated document builds upon the foundations laid by previous editions and incorporates new content and materials that schools and other agencies may find useful when writing and reviewing e-Safety Policies.

Staff ICT Acceptable Use Policy Template: 2012 Edition (New: February 2012)

The updated Staff ICT Acceptable Use Policy Template 2012 is provided as a framework to support schools and other settings when writing and updating their Acceptable Use Policies. The Staff ICT Acceptable Use Policy Template 2012 contains a "guidance for use" section for Head Teachers, Governing Bodies and Senior Leadership Teams to help them consider the wider implications (including legislation and recommended best practise) as well as possible actions required to support and develop a consistent and appropriate AUP to reflect the schools e-Safety approach.

e-Safety Policy Generator

The Online Policy Generator is an interactive tool which enables Schools in Kent to prepare their e-Safety policy online by selecting and amending statements from the Kent Policy Template bank as well adding their own statements to create a personalised and appropriate Policy. It is strongly recommended that all stakeholders should be actively involved in using this tool to collaboratively create an appropriate e-Safety policy for their establishment. Schools can only register for one account and it is recommended the school e-Safety lead or headteacher is the main account holder.

The online policy generator is available here.
